Clive the Croc Who Lost His Chomp

Clive the Croc Who Lost His Chomp is a children's book written by Sacramento Soccer Player Tyler Blackwood.  I created 21 full page colored illustrations and designed the layout for the book.  Tyler and his book were featured on Good Day Sacramento.

This is an editorial illustration created to add a visual to the article "Signs of America's Incurable Excess" by Roger Cohen first found in the New York Times.  It is an image of a typical American man who, unbound by the restraints most countries have on freedom that keep them from wasting an excessive amount of resources, is using his freedom to utilize resources ,such as fuel and food, as he pleases.

This set of illustrations is my own take on

Deborah Diesen's The Pout Pout Fish.

Portrait

The goal of this project was to render a portrait of someone you know in an illustrated format that could be used in the real world.  In this senario I chose a close friend in a setting where he is a famous musician and chose to have an illustrated self-portrait of himself on his latest CD cover.

Jude VS the Math Bully

For the Personal Passion project I chose to illustrate a few pages from a book entitled Jude Vs. the Math Bully written by my roommate Sydney DeLoach.  The book is about a boy who has trouble finishing his math homework gets help from the other "subjects" in human form to defeat the "Math Bully."

Borton Overseas Vikings

Hired by Borton Overseas, a travel agency in Minneapolis, MN, I designed Viking mascots to advertise their Signature Journeys.  The mascots would be printed, cut out, and given to passengers who would then take pictures with the mascots and post them to social media as a fun marketing tool.

Custom Tarot Card

The goal of this freelance job was to create a custom Tarot card with an image that represents the personality of the recipient.  I've incorporated her love for sunflowers, crystals, her nurturing nature, as well as her Zodiac constellation in the background.
